Come join in on the fun and spend
a couple of days fishing in the twin lakes area. Our
area hosts several very good fisheries and has had the distinction
of being recognized in many magazine articles about fishing.
Besides the obvious option of Bull Shoals Lake, we also have at our
disposal the world famous White River, Norfork River, Norfork Lake,
Crooked Creek, and the Buffalo National River. Several of these
bodies of water have boasted many record size lunkers and continue to
produce some very large catches. All of these premier fisheries
are located within a short distance of Evergreen Resort.

Both Bull Shoals and Norfork Lake offer many different species of
fish to try for. Some of the species found in the two
lakes would include Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Kentucky Bass,
Hybrid Bass, White Bass, Striped Bass, Catfish, Crappie, Trout,
Walleye, and many varieties of sunfish. Both lakes offer a
challenge to many fishermen due to the water clarity and deep depths.
One key to a successful trip on the lakes is to make sure that you
have your reel spooled with light line, preferably a low-visibility
green.
The White and Norfork Rivers are both nationally recognized as some of
the best Trout fishing rivers in the world. Both have boasted
record sized German Brown Trout and the Norfork has also held the
record on Brook Trout. Fishing on both of these rivers is open
year 'round and is actually very productive during the winter and
early spring months.
Both fly fishermen and spin fishermen enjoy these waters due to the
high success rate for novice and seasoned fishermen alike.
Whether you are out for a day of fishing with a guide or trying it on
your own, even novice fishermen can have a great day of fishing.

Crooked
Creek and the Buffalo National River are both great smallmouth
fisheries. Both are very scenic and are somewhat remote
in location. Crooked Creek has been the subject of many news
reports about the gravel mining issues that have taken place over
the years and the detriment to the fishery. However, the
creek, despite the efforts of some conservationist groups, remains a
top quality smallmouth fishery. Access has been
compromised due to some of the mining issues, but there are still
several open to the public to enjoy this wonderful creek.
There are a few guide services that operate trips to Crooked Creek
during the spring and fall and will help to make sure that you enjoy
an exciting day of fishing.
Be sure to ask when making reservations and we will be glad to help
make your fishing trip a memorable one.....
